What to do in London’s West End

If you are planning a holiday to London and you are staying in the West End, then the chances are you are planning a theatre trip at some point. It is important for you to know how quickly some of the shows sell out, so if you are hoping to arrive and see a top show, then think again. For instance, the Wizard of Oz opens in March 2011, and tickets are already selling fast. If you want to see this production then you should book your Wizard of Oz tickets now.

Of course there is plenty of other things to keep you occupied in the West End, it’s not all theatres here. It is actually a great place to go out at night because there are lots of bars and clubs to suit all tastes, and the eateries in and around the area are superb. Also, if you are willing to stray from the theatre strip, you will encounter some amazing places in the nearby vicinity. Soho is a fantastic place to look around, and it is always fascinating to head to the back of Soho where the fruit and veg stalls operate most days. It is amazing to see the stall holders in action – this is a true London market stall and you will see and hear some of the best examples of Cockney rhyming slang you could imagine! They are true locals just going about their day to day business and it is absolutely fascinating to see just how different London is to anywhere else!
